Off-Campus Housing
Lakehead University Off-Campus Housing is used to help Lakehead
University students find a place to live off campus. Our office is
located in Bartley Residence. For directions on how to get to the
office, click on the Contact Us link.
Off-Campus Housing
is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to benefit Lakehead
students by helping them to find living accommodations for the school
year. However, we do not make any arrangements between landlords and
tenants, nor do we inspect any of the rental units.
Landlords are encouraged to list with the Off-Campus Housing Department before the commencement of each school year.
There is a fee of $30.00 for the initial listing, and a $5.00 charge for each
additional listing in order to cover the expenses of our services. All
listings are subject to HST charges. The listing will be up for 180
days. All payments for Off-Campus Housing may be paid
on-line with a VISA or Mastercard Monday to Friday between 8am and 12 midnight at
the Bartley Residence Front Desk.
The listings will appear on-line. All listings displayed are in order
of the date they have been input. Thus, the listings at the top of the All listings list, are the most recent.
An additional feature of the Off-Campus Housing website is the Roommate Listings
link, which allows students to search for roommate accommodations.
Students who are looking for roommates in a unit they have already
rented can post a listing here free of charge.
(Note: All listings will be audited before they are posted on the web site. Any
inappropriate listings will be automatically deleted.)

NOTICE!!
To all Landlords and Students.
There is an Internet / phone scam which has been brought to the attention of Off Campus Housing. The scam seems to involve mostly landlords. A person posing as a potential student makes arrangements to pay their school term accommodations in advance. If you agree to this you will be sent a cheque or money order which will turn out to be fraudulent. These items take a substantial amount of time to clear the banks. In the mean time you are contacted by the person requesting some of money be sent back for a variety of reasons. Travel seems to be the big one. Should you decide to do this at this point you have been defrauded of our money because, the money order or cheque has not cleared the Bank. Do not send any money to anyone until you know the cheque or money order has cleared the Bank. If you have be involved anything similar to this please use the follow information to report any similar situations.
